For 15 years, I believed that 'al men were jerks because despite how much I tried to change things, I kept going through the same problems with men. If you have ever watched the movie, Groundhog Day (A weatherman finding himself living the same day over and over again -Staring Bill Murray- 1993) then you will start to understand how I was living. Perhaps you have been there with me. You try to keep yourself from being hurt and build something positive but you keep going through the same hurtful experiences each time with a different man.

I dated men that were not right for me and blamed them for all our problems. If he would just change into the man I first met or became the man I always wanted him to be then everything would be OK. I lived my life playing the waiting and blaming game -blaming him and then waiting for him to change so that I could be happy.Blame isn't all bad. It helps us decide who is responsible for what and what we need to be accountable for. However, the balance tips to unhealthy when we blame the other person for everything that is wrong. This type of blame takes away the opportunity of growth and personal responsibility and makes us victims. We are left with no choices and no power to act. Everything we want and hope to happen is given into the hands of the person that we feel is making our life intolerable.

The power to act and make changes requires personal responsibility. Rather than focusing on what needs to change in him we start focusing on our own growth. That means looking at how we are keeping the cycle repeating. It could be things like living with false hope about his feelings for us or denying his hurtful behavior. It could be our ideas about love and loyalty- perhaps they are built on infatuation and not reality. Or it could be a fear of speaking up or saying no and as a result we are put up with things we know are wrong.

It is not about men being all the same it's about realizing that we like and attract a certain type. Not all men are the same and by discovering why we attract who we do and then changing the pattern, we give ourselves freedom to discover other types of people.

As legend has it, Festa della Donna was a Spring Celebration in ancient Times. It celebrated the independence of women from unjust labor and oppression. From the ancient times until now, how could women of that day ever have imagined having an "Internet Based Business" as many of us do!

Authorities don't agree how or why, but the custom started in Italy-some say in Rome.

From these ancient celebrations, International Women's Day has evolved and taken different forms and meanings over the years. It has always been strongly associated with women's struggles, both tragic and victorious, and women's rights.

Where would we be today if these women of the past had not pursued the course! We can earn better wages by having a job or even having a home based business.

An event that was both tragic and victorious, the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire of 1911 in New York City, NY. in which mostly Italian and Jewish women workers perished in a burning building whose exits were locked to prevent labor organizing is often commemorated in Italy. This tragedy led to progressive new labor laws as well as establishing a spring celebration for women.

In Italy, one of March's first flowers, the sunny mimosa, symbolizes the promise of spring after the darkness of winter. On March 8, Festa della Donna is celebrated with women giving women a bouquet of mimosa. This event celebrated around the world has become an opportunity to raise money for charitable organizations. Festa della Donna is sponsored by women for women.

This year, our women's ministry, had the opportunity to serve at the Festa della Donna in the central California area. I was just over whelmed at the beauty of the tables that were decorated by women leaders for their sisters in the community. These tables were decorated in different themes where lunch was served. The settings ranged from spring gardens to fairy land, just breath taking. It was a day of giving and serving, woman to woman. The monetary benefits were given to the Salvation Army and a Local charity.

Being able to serve with time and money is one of my passions and the reason I am building a home based Internet business.

How to learn to love yourself...

Okay, so you want to love yourself but as much as you try to look in the mirror and admire the woman looking back at you, you can't.

You then put just anything on, nothing will look great anyway, and go out and live your life day by day thinking, 'I'll never be beautiful - no matter how much I read about the subject, I just can't, so I might as well accept it...oh and by the way, the thing about beauty coming from within is probably just a nice proverb made up by someone who felt the same way I feel'.

Beauty does come from within, it's not just a proverb but a fact, I think it's been more than proven through people we love who simply look gorgeous or extremely handsome. However, we can't deny the fact that it shouldn't only remain within. Beauty is to be exposed and admired. Who doesn't love to look at beautiful things?

So how can you love yourself enough to the point of feeling beautiful?

To answer that, you must first ask the question: What do people who love themselves do?
Do they just put anything on hoping that the person within will be admired? Of course not. A woman who loves herself will take good care of herself. She'll invest in herself in every way possible, which means that she'll take the time to look great.

Sometimes that's all you need to do. How can you care more for yourself as a woman? Would you perhaps benefit from a good diet and daily exercises that will not only make you look better but make you feel wonderful? How about your hairstyle - could you look better with a more modern look?

Perhaps you could dress in an entire different style altogether, going for bolder colours, more feminine and elegant clothes, with a couple of extra accessories to complete the look. In other words, you don't need to go and get a makeover that lasts for a day or two in order to look and feel better about yourself. You can do it today, right now and in a way that will look better with time. What's stopping you? In this day and age, you don't even need to have loads of money to look good. All you need is an eye for what suits you. That's all! Not a big deal is it?

If you start caring for yourself as if you love who you are, you'll really start loving yourself, and do you know why? Because you're a loveable person so why wouldn't you love yourself?
Taking good care of yourself will only bring you benefits and it's fun, exciting, and extremely rewarding. When I woke up to this fact, it was as if I had been revived - no more clothes that made me look too old and no more wig-like haircuts. I started to take the time to do my nails every week (by myself by the way), go bolder with the colours I wore, and did something different with my hair. As I started to enjoy what I saw, I started to care more, going to the gym and eating more healthy foods.

Today, caring for myself is a daily routine. I guess if you can care for yourself, you can then care for others.
